INDIGO DYEING: COTTON COCKTAIL & DINNER NAPKINS

Add a spalsh of blue and a dose of creativity to your linens by learning indigo dyeing in this 3 hour workshop on St. Simons Island.
You’ll take home: 8 napkins: 4 cocktail & 4 dinner dinner napkins
Explore the history and magic of indigo dyeing with Charleston Indigo Grower and Artist, Caroline Harper. During this casual afternoon, you will learn a new craft and take home hand-dyed items for the holidays!
Caroline will teach you Shibori dyeing techniques; how to fold and bind fabric to create patterns and designs with indigo dye. You’ll love seeing the dye change colors, and your designs come to life! You will receive 4 cotton dinner napkins & 4 cocktail napkins to create your own patterns.
Beginner-friendly. No previous knowledge or experience required.
What you'll get
All materials and equipment needed to dye four cotton dinner napkins (20” x 20”) and four cocktail napkins (6” x 6”) to take home.
What to bring
Wear clothing you don’t mind getting a little dye on -- this class can get messy.
You are welcome to bring a small container to take some indigo dye home to experiment on your own.
Suitable for adults, and kids (minimum 13 years old).
