Instructor: Debbie Craig
ONLY THREE SPOTS REMAIN EACH WEEK
June 17 - 21
or June 24 - 28
Ages: 8 and up (through middle school)
In the first two days, campers will work with slabs of clay to create houses/homes or structures. We will talk about and make symbols to hang from the structures. While their clay work fires in the kiln, campers will make artist trading cards and learn how to paint tissue paper that will be used to decorate their structures. This camp emphasizes process, beginning the project on Monday and seeing it to completion on Friday. Each camper will leave with a personal piece of clay art they can hang on the wall.
Because of the nature of the class, it cannot accommodate drop-in students.
Students are encouraged to bring a lunch and a water bottle.
