Participants will be shown how to prepare a non-fermented indigo vat and one shibori technique. After dipping a couple of times to achieve a deep shade of indigo, you will enjoy the surprise of seeing everyone's unique creations and go home with your very own bundle of beautiful indigo dye silk, cotton, linen, wood and leather. Caroline Harper will also tell you about the history of indigo in South Carolina and her own story with indigo.
