• What masters used pastels.

• How are pastels created and what are the types of pastels.
• Why some brands are better than others.

Supply List
I recommend the Faber-Castell® Creative Studio 48 Color Soft Pastel Set stick set. Available at Michaels, online or in store.

White Artist Tape 3/4” wide, available at Michaels. Make sure it is artist tape.

12 x 16 or larger Art Board
- Needs to be sturdy to put on an easel 11'' x 14''

Richeson Half stick sampler set available online at Michaels or Blicks.
I highly recommend these to get an idea of soft, medium and hard pastels. Not required.

Pastel Paper
I will have sanded paper which can be purchased for $3 for a 9’’ x 12’’sheet. I recommend this for a good learning experience.
