This 3 day workshop is designed to help students move from painting what they see to using what they see as a jumping off point for a more interesting and expressive plein air painting. Students will learn how to search for and select an interesting subject, how to use personal expression through edgework, color, tonal key, shapes, paint application and unique viewpoints.

Each day begins with a plein air demo (weather permitting). Afternoon includes individual attention and engaging exercises which will make this a memorable and exciting workshop. Students will leave with new confidence and skills. We will be painting at a variety of places including the beach area.

Meet each morning at the GVA Center for location coordination. (Inclement weather, we will remain at the GVA.)
