Revolution on the Coast, A 250th Celebration

Help GVA present Silhouette Art at Historical Society Community Festival

GVA is collaborating with the Coastal Georgia Historical Society and we need you! Pre-photography, silhouette art — paper cut portraits that were affordable and easy to carry — was the "people's" popular art form during the American Revolutionary War.

GVA will present the history and technique of silhouette and, of course, art activities for "kids of all ages."

What can you do? What does GVA need?

  • Volunteers March 13, 14, and 15, to demonstrate silhouette art and the pantograph.

  • Volunteers to guide art activities for school kids on March 13 and to public attendees on March 14 and 15 at the GVA Silhouette Tent.

Use the form below to express your interest for any or all of these opportunities to share your love of art and GVA with the community!
