Jim Karwisch will demonstrate the much needed skill of finishing a lovely piece of pottery by trimming a nice foot (the “bottom”).  He will discuss tools, centering and securing the pot to the wheel head, and many different styles of feet.  He’ll trim a variety of shaped pieces such as bowls, plates/platters, tall pieces, and oddly shaped pottery which might require a chuck. And he’ll welcome Q&A.
