Visual Arts Studio Time

Intro to Visual Arts

July 13 - 17
9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

INSTRUCTOR: Meghan Davis

Ages: 10-14

Meghan Davis, Glynn County art teacher, is teaching a studio-based introduction to the visual arts. Each day, kids will explore drawing, painting, printmaking, and crafts using a variety of media and techniques.

From building a foundation with elements of art to a bit of art history and aesthetics (“what makes art pleasing?”), Meghan will guide students to create a portfolio of works that reflect their own approach to image making and the power of art.

Kids should be prepared to use a variety of materials and wear clothing that can get messy.

Students should bring a snack and a water bottle.
