Intro to Visual Arts

Ages: 10-14

Robert Smith, retired Glynn County art teacher, is teaching a studio-based introduction to the visual arts. Each day, kids will explore drawing, painting, printmaking, and crafts using a variety of media and techniques.

From building a foundation with elements of art to a bit of art history and aesthetics (“what makes art pleasing?”), Robert will guide students to create a portfolio of works that reflect their own approach to image making and the power of art.

Kids should be prepared to use a variety of materials and wear clothing that can get messy.

Students should bring a snack and a water bottle.
