What is block printmaking? Block Printing is one of the oldest types of printmaking, and has been around for thousands of years. The artist carves an image/pattern/print into a piece of wood, linoleum, rubber, or other materials, covers it in ink, and transfers the image on to paper or fabric. Each print made is unique and one of a kind!
