BEYOND HAPPY TREES
Saturday, April 25 9:00a.m. - 4:00p.m.

Bob Ross may have been the expert on painting “happy little trees” but in this workshop, you will go beyond that and develop skills to capture the iconic trees of the Golden Isles in your own unique way. No experience needed — suitable for all levels!
MEDIUM: Pen & Ink and Pencil, Watercolor, Acrylic, or Oil (Instruction will be with watercolor but students are encouraged to work in a medium of their choice.)
Morning Studio Session 9am - 11am
Location: Glynn Visual Arts Classroom
Foundation: Build a foundation for drawing trees, from a general view to the specifics of achieving depth and creating negative space and asymmetry. Explore media and techniques such as texture marks, branching, and shadow dynamics. Finish the morning discussing scouting locations and strategies for working onsite.
Break for Lunch (on your own) 11:00 - 1:00pm
Outdoor Session 1pm - 4pm
