Did you know that every day, 64% of children in Coastal Georgia experience hunger from food insecurity?

For the 11th year in a row GVA pottery studio members will create hand-crafted bowls- “Empty Bowls” - that symbolize hunger to raise money for our local food bank, Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia (SHCG).

Friday, September 4: Online Auction Goes Live!

September 4 - 20: Bid on special gift sets displayed at area businesses, each including 4 artisan pottery bowls.

Saturday, September 20: Final pottery sale at Glynn Visual Arts! Place your final bids and purchase additional bowls through 4p.m. (*winners do not need to be present. Auctions items can be shipped thanks to Rich Products.)

With the collaboration of local retail businesses and restaurants and generous support of Rich Products, Glynn Visual Arts raised over $6,600 for SHCG in 2024. With the support of the community we hope to surpass that this year. In total, GVA has donated more than $30,000 to SHCG to serve their mission to end hunger and improve lives.

“At Second Harvest, we believe every bowl tells a story—and at Glynn Visual Arts, that story becomes a call to action. I’m honored to join hands through art and community to turn empty bowls into full hearts and full plates.”  – Jennifer Floyd, Brunswick Branch Manager at SHCG
