For more than 70 years, Glynn Visual Arts has inspired creativity, nurtured young artists, supported local talent, and preserved the cultural heritage of Coastal Georgia. Today, GVA engages more than 8,000 people each year through exhibitions, classes, outreach programs, and community partnerships, while serving 1,200+ children annually through arts education and outreach.

The impact of GVA reaches far beyond its art center walls. With the support of 140+ artist members, 332 member households, dedicated volunteers, and community partners, creativity can be found in classrooms, festivals, public spaces, and countless moments where art brings people together. The stories below represent just a few of the many ways GVA continues to strengthen the Golden Isles every day

Art Is Good for Our Youth

National research shows that students who participate in the arts are less likely to drop out of school, perform better academically, and develop stronger social and emotional skills. At GVA, we see these benefits every day through Summer Camps, year-round classes, homeschool programs, School's Out Mini Camps, and toddler art experiences. "I love art because it lets me express myself," is something we hear often from our young artists. Time and again, we watch children work together, embrace differences, learn from mistakes, and build confidence in a welcoming, noncompetitive environment.

Celebrating Art. Investing in the Future.

The annual St. Simons Wine Festival celebrates art, culture, and community while giving back through philanthropy. A portion of the festival's proceeds supports arts and education initiatives beyond GVA, including the College of Coastal Georgia Foundation and Golden Isles College & Career Academy. Through these partnerships, the festival helps invest in the next generation of local students.

Inspiring Young Artists

Every child deserves the opportunity to experience the joy of creating. Through GVA's participation in Dolphins Do Art Day and Arty Party, more than 450 elementary school students each year discover new artistic techniques while building confidence, curiosity, and creativity in a fun, supportive environment.
