Instruction will include how to prepare clay for throwing on the wheel, reworking clay after unsuccessful attempts (yes, it happens), and trimming a nice foot on the bottom. The cycle of a clay piece from wet to dry will be discussed, when to dry slowly, clay shrinkage and the fragility of bone dry clay pieces. The glazing class will include a handout explaining proper handling of bisque ware, waxing, glazing and cleanup.

Limited to 5 seats.

The classes are sequential (no drop-ins).
